Commencement of Abekawa Hydroelectric Power Station Construction

Chubu Electric Power is proud to announce that today we commenced construction of the Abekawa Hydroelectric Power Station as part of our efforts to further expand renewable energies.

The Abekawa Hydroelectric Power Station is a run-of-the-river power station that will be capable of generating 7,500 kW. We plan to place the plant in service in December 2024.

Continuing to embrace an eco-conscious mindset, we will proceed to construct the facility while affording the highest priority to safety and with the understanding and cooperation of local residents as well as other relevant parties.

Scheduled start of operation	December 2014
