Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.
Chubu Electric Power hereby announces that the following revisions have been made to the schedule for transport of low-level radioactive waste, notification of which was provided on March 30, 2021 in the press release entitled "Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station's FY2021 Schedule for Transport of New Fuel."
Low-Level Radioactive Waste
Quantity of transportation

Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station
Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Center
The low-level radioactive waste (1520 drums) that was scheduled to be transported was verified to conform to the waste acceptance criteria in an audit by Japan Nuclear Fuel Limited (JNFL) at the Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station.
However, JNFL subsequently requested that transportation for this fiscal year be postponed for six transport containers (48 drums) that hold ten drums which shared the same waste storage process with drums that suffered from paint peeling, etc., at Chubu Electric Power in the past.
