Ichishiro Hydroelectric Power Station commenced commercial operation.

Chubu Electric Power has completed construction of the Ichishiro Hydroelectric Power Station and today the Station has begun commercial operation.

This hydroelectric power station has the capacity to generate 170 kW as it harnesses the unused head of the maintenance flow discharge facility of the Oigawa Dam which is owned by Chubu Electric Power.

We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the local community and relevant parties in the construction of the station.

The Chubu Electric Power Group has positioned renewable energy as one of its main power sources that will contribute to achieving a carbon-free society as well as enhancing energy self-sufficiency, and we will continue active development to achieve our goal of “an expansion of 3.2 million kW or more by around 2030.”
