Personnel Changes in Management Positions

The three Chubu Electric Power Companies ("Companies") (Note) will make personnel changes in management positions effective July 1.
The number of personnel changes this year totals 1,532.

To realize Management Vision 2.0, Companies are increasing the number of employees in priority areas such as decarbonization and new growth areas, and working on a human resources strategy that focuses on "creating an environment where diverse human resources can play an active role" and "providing opportunities and support for employees who take on the challenge of self-improvement."

Regarding the increase in personnel to priority areas, the personnel changes will shift personnel to the following business areas:

  • Development of renewable energy including offshore wind and solar power generation
  • New growth areas including global business, real estate business, and resource recycling business

Furthermore, we are actively using career hires to strengthen our personnel and diversify our human resources in order to expand our business domain.
In addition, in existing business areas, Companies are assigning personnel to continuously work on further upgrading and streamlining operations.

In terms of human resource strategy, we introduced an in-house open recruitment system, My Career Internal Job Posting System, last fiscal year to support autonomous career development.
To promote the success of our diverse human resources, we have actively placed women in important posts such as division heads and group managers, and appointed 40 new female managers (292 in total). We are making steady progress toward our goal of tripling the number of women in management positions (309 or more) in FY2025 from 103 in FY2014.

Companies will continue to promote the human resource strategy with the aim of increasing corporate value by diversifying and upgrading its human resources.
