Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.
Chubu Electric Power, through a wholly owned subsidiary, CR-01, LLC, has been promoting the company's first agrivoltaics project in seven locations in Mie Prefecture. We are pleased to announce that the construction of Yokkaichi Suizawa No.1 Agri-Solar ("the power plant") was completed and commercial operation started on September 1.
The power plant is an agrivoltaic plant with a generation output of 399 kW, constructed in Suizawa-cho, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.
We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the local community and relevant parties in its construction.
Starting with the power plant, we will proceed with plans for the remaining six sites in order to start operation by the end of this fiscal year.
The Chubu Electric Power Group has positioned renewable energy as one of its main power sources that will contribute to achieving a carbon-free society as well as enhancing energy self-sufficiency, and we will continue active development in order to achieve our goal of "an expansion over 3.2 million kW through ownership, construction, and maintenance of renewable energy plants by around 2030".
