Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.

Toward the realization of "Management Vision 2.0," Chubu Electric Power is pursuing various initiatives to promote regional infrastructure projects by leveraging its ties with local communities, expertise in infrastructure operation, and environmental technologies.

We hereby announce that we have decided to acquire a portion of the shares of DK Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Koichi Tamaki) from its shareholder, Swing Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Masanori Yasuda), for the purpose of participating in the water supply and sewerage field among our regional infrastructure projects. This is the first time that Chubu Electric Power has invested in a company in the water supply and sewerage field.

DK Corporation is engaged not only in the business of meter reading and fee collection in the water supply and sewerage field, in which it has the largest share of the nation's water supply population (Note 1), but also in system development and operation to meet the needs of local public enterprises, etc., and water supply equipment management services.
(Note 1) Population living within the water supply area and receiving water supply from the water utility.

With this investment, Chubu Electric Power will further promote its regional infrastructure business and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized, recycling-oriented society and circular economy, as well as to solving issues faced by local governments and customers, through the provision of multi-utility services that transcend the boundaries of each business domain.
