First Customer Contract signed for Electric Power Supply Stand Project to Reduce Engine Idling

As part of its efforts to alleviate global warming through the reduction of CO₂ emissions, on May 1^st this year, Chubu Electric is commencing Electric Power Supply Stand Project to Reduce Engine Idling.

Today, AGUIUNYU Co., Ltd. (Director: Yasumasa Kanazawa; Location: Kawada-cho, Handa City, Aichi Prefecture) signed a contract to become the first customer of this project.

With the understanding and support of transport companies and other interested parties, Chubu Electric will work to increase the number of customers of this service and to install electric power supply stands, seeking to contribute to the reduction of CO₂ emissions in the transport sector.
