Hosting of "Chuden Ecosession for Elementary School Students 2010"

On December 08, Chubu Electric will host Chuden Ecosession for Elementary School Students 2010. The event is intended to create an opportunity for children, who will lead the next generation, to share their hopes and dreams about the environment and energy and think about related issues. The "Chuden Ecosession" was commenced at the time of the Exposition of Global Harmony in July 2005, and this will be the fifth time that we have hosted the event.

Educating the next generation about energy and the environment is one of our important activities, and we are committed to continuing educational support activities designed to increase the awareness of the children who are our future concerning energy and environmental problems.

Presentations on environmental studies conducted at each school and prior studies that Chubu Electric employees have held for the schools (in energy and environment lessons and power station tours).

Theme:"Beyond Edison! Inventing a New Earth-friendly Method of Generation"

Speakers:Six students representing the participating schools, Yoshizumi Ishihara (actor and television weather forecaster), and Akihisa Mizuno (President & Director of Chubu Electric Co., Inc.)
