Notice of Results for Acquisition of Treasury Shares, Completion of their Acquisition, and Cancellation(Acquisition based on provisions of articles of association following Company Law, Article 165, Paragraph 2 and Cancellation based on Company Law, Article 178)

Chubu Electric Power Company, Incorporated (the "Company") has completed an acquisition of treasury shares under Article 156 of the Company Law of Japan as applied pursuant to Article 165, Paragraph 3, as described below in "1 Results of Acquisition", and has ended acquisition of treasury shares. The acquisition had been decided upon at the January 28, 2011 meeting of the Board of Directors.

This is also to give notice that the Company will cancel treasury shares under Article 178 of the Company Law of Japan, as described below in "2 Cancellation Details". The cancellation had been decided upon at the January 28, 2011 meeting of the Board of Directors.
