Concerning Suspension of Operations at Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, Reactors No. 4 and 5

This is to announce that Chubu Electric Power has finished making electric power supplement adjustments with another utility and therefore has decided to suspend operations at Hamaoka Nuclear Power Station, Reactor No. 4 (boiling water reactor, rated electric output 1,137 MW) as of May 13, 2011 and at Reactor No. 5 (advanced boiling water reactor, rated electric output 1,380 MW) as of May 14, 2011.

We will further announce when operations at the reactors have been suspended.
