As an advance initiative, a study has been conducted of the feasibility of expanding installed wind power capacity in the Hokuriku Electric Power and Shikoku Electric Power service areas by about 200,000 kW in each case by arranging for the transmission of power from Hokuriku Electric Power and Shikoku Electric Power to Chubu Electric Power and Kansai Electric Power in order to ensure the necessary adjustment capacity for Hokuriku Electric Power and Shikoku Electric Power. (Reported December 22, 2011).
The present cooperative effort will proceed based on the fact that the advance study confirmed the feasibility of the measure studied.
Chubu Electric Power will continue to work in the future to further expand wind power generation.
