Results of Selection of Proposals for Nuclear Power-related Research based on Public Call for Submissions(Research start on FY2014)

Chubu Electric Power has selected a number of nuclear power-related research topics to be the subject of research projects from among proposals received on the basis of a public call for submissions.

In order to strenghen its research efforts, from January 27 to March 03, 2014, Chubu Electric Power called for the submission of wide-ranging research topics for the Nuclear Power Safety Technology Research Center. Response was excellent, with 42 proposals received from throughout the country. Following a review of the proposals by our Advisory Committee, 10 have been adopted for research.

Research based on the selected proposals will commence in FY2014, and as progress is made in future, annual research reports will be submitted. Chubu Electric Power will also present the outcomes of the research at results presentation workshops.

The year's research results for the public research that commenced in FY2013 (Reference: announced on March 18, 2013) will be presented on June 14 (Saturday), 2014 at the first results presentation workshop, to be held at the Omaezaki Civic Center.
