FY2013 Electric Power Sales Results

The volume of electric power sold reached 127,070 GWh, on the same level as the previous year with an increase of 0.4% YoY.
1 Demand for electricity other than extra high-voltage power services (i.e., general residential consumption): Down 0.9% YoY
(1) Lighting services (residential customers)
Owing to energy conservation efforts taking hold and other factors demand was down 0.6% YoY.
(2) Power services (shop and small factory customers)
Due to factors such as a decline in the number of contracts, demand was down 2.3% YoY.
2 Demand for extra high-voltage power services: Up 1.0% YoY
(1) Commercial (office building and commercial facility customers)
The same level as the previous year with an increase of 0.0% YoY.
(2) Industrial and other (medium and large factory customers)
Greater production of machinery, etc. caused sales to increase 1.4% YoY.
