Tokuyama Hydroelectric Power Station Unit 2 Starts Commercial Operation

This is to announce that Chubu Electric Power has begun commercial operation today of Tokuyama Hydroelectric Power Station Unit 2.

Tokuyama Hydroelectric Power Station Unit 2 is a 22,400kw output dam type power station utilizing the Tokuyama Dam (multipurpose dam managed by the Japan Water Agency) located in the furthest upstream portion of the Ibi River.

Chubu Electric Power will strive for the stable operation of Unit 2. We are grateful for the continued understanding and cooperation of local residents and related parties concerned with the construction work of Unit 1, and will move forward placing our highest priority on safety.
