Basic Agreement Concluded regarding the LNG Purchase with the GDF Suez Group

On October 31, 2014, Chubu Electric Power concluded a basic agreement regarding the purchase of LNG together with the French energy utility GDF Suez Group.
Under this agreement, Chubu Electric Power will receive an LNG supply from the LNG supply sources held around the world by the GDF Suez Group, with the intent to purchase a total of 20 cargoes (approximately 1.2 million tons) over the period from January, 2015 to March, 2017.
Chubu Electric Power believes that this LNG supply from a variety of GDF Suez Group's portfolio sources will contribute to the both the procurement of stable LNG supply and economic procurement reflecting the LGN market trends in Asia, with a portion of contract prices linked to the Asian spot market.
To ensure the future stability of electric power provision, Chubu Electric Power will continue its endeavors to obtain stable and economical fuel supplies.
