FY2014 Electric Power Sales Results

The volume of electric power sold reached 124,075 GWh, a decline of 2.4% YoY.
Demand for electricity other than extra high-voltage power services (i.e., general residential consumption): Down 4.2% YoY
(1) Lighting services (residential customers)
This summer was cooler compared to the year before, leading to less use of climate control equipment. Owing to this and energy conservation efforts, sales dropped 4.0% YoY.
(2) Power services (shop and small factory customers)
Sales dropped 5.3% YoY as a result of the temperature leading to less use of climate control equipment.
2 Demand for extra high-voltage power services: Down 1.5% YoY
(1) Commercial (office building and commercial facility customers)
Sales dropped 3.6% YoY as a result of the temperature leading to less use of climate control equipment.
(2) Industrial and other (medium and large factory customers)
Although increased productions were observed in the machinery industry during the fiscal year's first half, sales dropped 0.7% YoY from factors including decreased production in the raw materials industry.
