Launch of the Internal Company System

Chubu Electric Power has decided to launch an internal company system from April 01, 2016.

The business environment surrounding Chubu Electric Power is facing a drastic change, with examples including the full retail deregulation of electric power starting from next April. Against this backdrop, we must construct an independent business framework to make flexible and swift responses among business fields such as power generation, power transmission and distribution, and retail. 

Chubu Electric Power will thus establish a Power Generation Company, Power Network Company, and a Sales Company, and select Company Presidents or delegate executive authority over operations in a drive to achieve independent business operations by the Companies. 

We will continue to achieve our mission of supplying eco-conscious, safe, and quality energy on a stable and low-cost basis. At the same time, Chubu Electric Power will swiftly construct a new business model that copes with changes in the business environment, harnessing this to create new values and thereby outperform others in the ever-intensifying competition.

• Chubu Electric Power will select Company Presidents, delegate executive authority over operations to the Companies, and work to achieve flexible and swift business operations.
• Chubu Electric Power will establish a Company Board in the Companies as a consultative body for the Company President, aiming to enable a certain level of decision-making concluding within the Company
• Chubu Electric Power will establish a planning sector in each Company to construct a system capable of independently managing on a per-business basis
