For the fiscal year of 2017, Chubu Electric Power had been planning to transport low-level radioactive waste in May and June 2017. However, after adjustments with relevant parties, it was decided to delay the transportation work because failure in the crane for disposal (e.g. gap in joint on which the crane runs) at JNFL's Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Center is making it difficult for JNFL to follow initial plans and accept waste from Hamaoka NPS.

Chubu Electric Power will announce the changed timing of transportation as soon as it is decided.
