Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.
Chubu Electric Power has decided today to construct the Ichishiro Hydroelectric Power Station in Kawanehon-cho, Haibara-gun, Shizuoka Prefecture using the unused head of the Oigawa Hydroelectric Power Station maintenance flow discharge facility.
The Ichishiro Hydroelectric Power Station will be a maintenance flow discharge power station with a maximum output of 160kW. Construction is scheduled to start in FY2020 and the start of commercial operations in FY2021.
We will continue to work on this project with the understanding and support of the local municipality, local community, and related parties.
Chubu Electric Power is actively developing renewable energy to improve the energy self-sufficiency rate and realize a low carbon society. We have especially high hopes for hydroelectric power generation which can provide a stable output. As such, we will continue to work on developing general hydroelectric and maintenance flow discharge power stations as well as increasing the output and electricity generated by improving the equipment of existing hydroelectric power plants in a planned manner.
