On the Decommissioning of Owase-Mita Thermal Power Station Units 1 and 3 and Yokkaichi Thermal Power Station Unit 3

Today, we would like to announce that Chubu Electric Power has decided to decommission Owase-Mita Thermal Power Station Units 1 and 3 and Yokkaichi Thermal Power Station Unit 3.
We have concluded an agreement with Owase-shi on the use of the land after the decommissioning of the plant. We have formed a committee with Owase-shi and the Owase Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss the specifics.
With the understanding and cooperation of the local community and related parties, we are working on constructing a woody biomass power generation facility within the Yokkaichi Thermal Power Station site. We are aiming for the start of its commercial operation in April 2020
