Chubu Electric Power Co.,Inc.

Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. has decided to construct the Uchigatani Hydroelectric Power Station in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, which will make use of the river maintenance flow discharged from the Uchigatani Dam that is currently under construction, and today, we reached an agreement titled "Basic Agreement Regarding the Uchigatani Dam Construction Work" (hereafter "the agreement") with Gifu Prefecture.

Based on the agreement, we will develop a power station which has a maximum output of 720kW with target operation commencement in FY2025, and the project will proceed with the understanding and cooperation of Gifu Prefecture, which operates the dam, as well as the residents of Gujo City and other local communities and the various entities concerned.

Chubu Electric is actively pursuing the development of renewable energy sources in order to increase our energy self-sufficiency rate and to realize a low-carbon society.
