Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & CEO: Kingo Hayashi; “Chubu Electric Power”) and Karadanote, Inc. (President: Tatsuya Sato; “Karadanote”) concluded today a capital and business alliance agreement aimed at collaboration in the development of services to support parents raising young children and in the field of healthcare. Chubu Electric Power is scheduled to acquire up to 300,000 common shares of Karadanote (4.76% of the total number of issued shares) from the market within the next six months.

Since December 2021, the two companies have been holding joint campaigns and marketing demonstrations in accordance with life events for clients of Chubu Electric Power’s school communication network service “Kizuna Net” app targeted at kids from preschool to high school age, and Karadanote’s pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing/blood pressure and medication management apps. (Announced on December 9, 2021)

In the future, we will expand services beyond Kizuna Net to include Chubu Electric Power’s telemedicine and other services in the healthcare field, enabling us to provide continuous child-rearing support from the pregnancy stage up to high school age. In the years to come, we will aim to provide a new form of community to resolve the region’s social issues amidst an aging population and declining birthrate, from a child-rearing standpoint.

Both companies will be a strong ally of parents raising young children, bringing more smiles to families and contributing to the further development of the local community.
